Frozen by PaintedThoughts Frozen by PaintedThoughts
This was a final design project for my college and it's made up entirely of paper and glue, creating my paper sculpture. Each individual scale is compromised of smaller pieces of white paper folded into its tinier scale shape then stuck onto a bigger piece of white paper to form one scale, and then another piece of black paper is placed on top for its pattern.

The concept is of a water dragon shattering free from a frozen water surface with ice crystals emerging from its sides.

Materials:-
Various types of paper
PVA and UHU glue
Mounting board

this is amazing!
and you really caught the whole "frozen water surface" perfectly :)
also it is an awesome concept! especially how ice crystals for at the sides where the dragon has pierced the water!
I'm amazed at how detailed yet simple this is 8D only black and white with simple shapes but a huge amount of details!
perhaps the head could be a bit more detailed, but it isn't really that big of a problem...

Wow. It looks great! I can't see the head very well, but I'm imagining it's a wonderful design :D It looks this good in black & white...you think it'd look good in color too? Oh man...wheels turning now :plotting: ...

Ooooh, now that you mention it, maybe shades of blue, white and black would compliment the whole icy concept. Lovely XD
